Disconnected
The essence of my artistic contemplation, I call "Disconnected," lies in the process of reclaiming myself from the shackles of the past and the uncertainties of the future. It is a deliberate effort to firmly root myself in the present moment, guided and anchored by the spiritual force within me, known as Spirit.

Capturing Life's Radiance: The Artistry of Beth Goulet
Beth Goulet, a self-taught artist, paints not just with colors, but with the very essence of joy, happiness, and gratitude. Her art is a window into the beauty she sees in the world, a reflection of the moments that touch her heart. With a palette of positivity, she translates these emotions onto her paper, sharing the magic of those exquisite instants with all who gaze upon her creations.
Born in 1964, Beth's lifelong love affair with art has been a steady heartbeat in her journey. From the earliest days, she has embraced art as a cherished hobby, but it was a challenging chapter that unveiled the true power of creativity in her life. A battle with cancer in 2017 reshaped her perspective, and during the process of recovery, she found solace and renewed purpose in her artistic pursuits.
In 2021, Beth's artistic path led her to the enchanting world of soft pastels, a medium that she embraced wholeheartedly. The tactile experience and vibrant colors of pastels became a medium through which she could not only create but also immerse herself in the hues that radiate positivity.
Beth's artistic mission is as simple as it is profound: to encapsulate the sheer beauty of fleeting moments, particularly in nature. Her art serves as a reminder that even amidst life's chaos, there exist serene pockets of calm and delight. She crafts her pieces with an intention – to offer a brief respite, a stolen moment of peace or a flicker of joy to those who engage with her art.
In her own words, Beth expresses, "The beauty of a simple moment in nature is what I strive to express in my art. If you look at one of my paintings and it brings you even a split second of peace or joy, I have succeeded." Her artistic journey embodies resilience, transformation, and a deep-seated desire to share the positive energy she finds in the world around her.
Beth Goulet's art is a celebration of life's small wonders, a tribute to the moments that often go unnoticed. With each stroke of her pastel, she weaves a tapestry of inspiration, inviting us all to pause, reflect, and find solace in the beauty that surrounds us.
Victoria E. Kohn
I am a dedicated oil painter residing in Uxbridge, MA, with a strong artistic foundation earned from my Bachelors in Fine Arts with a major in Oil Painting from Rhode Island College. Over the years, my unwavering commitment to art has fueled continuous growth in my skills and passion. Currently, I am a proud member of Painters Over Light (POL), a group founded almost a decade ago by Anthony Tomaselli following our participation in his Weekend Workshop at the Wickford Art Center. Our monthly gatherings over breakfast at T's in Narragansett, RI have nurtured both artistic and personal bonds, as we engage in constructive critiques and mutual artistic evolution.
From shared exhibitions to collaborative projects, the POL group has not only elevated our individual artistry but also forged profound friendships. Being part of this collective has enriched my artistic journey beyond measure. My artistry has also found a home at Center Framing & Art in West Hartford, CT, under the generous support of owner Lori Chozick. This association has led to fulfilling commissions, a realm I've come to relish. Beginning with creating commissioned pieces for friends and family to immortalize treasured memories, I've discovered immeasurable joy in translating sentimental moments, including those involving loved ones who have passed, into tangible art. While a photograph captures a moment, a drawing or painting breathes life into the emotion within that moment, creating an everlasting connection. My aspirations revolve around the continuous refinement of my drawing and painting skills, embracing the unpredictable journey that lies ahead. With each brushstroke, not only do I enhance my artistry, but I also witness the growth of my soul.
This interwoven progression is what infuses purpose into my existence. The profound impact of art as a conduit for emotions and memories is an integral facet of my journey. My commitment to honing my craft, my contributions to artistic communities, and the emotional resonance I infuse into my commissioned work all converge to shape a remarkable path. As I delve deeper into my creative expression, I anticipate more enriching opportunities and connections that will further enrich the lives of those touched by my art. In essence, my artistic voyage encapsulates more than just visuals; it embodies feelings, narratives, and connections. Through my art, I endeavor to evoke emotions, inspire introspection, and foster enduring bonds—an aspiration that beautifully aligns with my life's purpose.

Landscapes by Ralph DiMarco
“My desire to paint landscapes is rooted in my childhood growing up on my grandfather’s farm in Southern Italy. I recall having a strong sense of place, a feeling of being enfolded by the surrounding fields, hills and mountains. The landscape was a part of everyday life, some of it shaped by human hands, some by natural forces, which together created something that felt both mysterious and familiar. That’s the inspiration I look for in the locations I paint, a sense of belonging, of discovery, of comfort.”
